I am a Manchester based artist with comprehensive experience in a variety of fields, including traditional book and card illustration, web artwork and animation, and handheld game graphics.

I am extensively industry-experienced in the use of Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator, and also proficient in the use of traditional watercolours and inks. I have illustrated books for BBC Children's Books and Splash Productions. As a background artist working in television animation my credits included Philbert Frog and Zot the Dog, before I made the transition to web games and desktop toys. Here, as well as character design, my credits included design and animation of Desktop Richie for Channel 4 and the web game 'Sheeps'. More recently I have been working in the mobile game industry producing concept art, game graphics and animations for the iPhone, Android and J2ME market including Timeloop, Jaws, Governor of Poker and California Games. I have also produced various canvases for Big Ideas' Say What You See series.

I gained a BA (Hons) Degree in Design for Communication Media, specialising in Illustration, at Manchester Polytechnic, after completing an Art and Design foundation course at Bradford College.

As a contracting artist, I am the sole director of Big Red Crayon Ltd. Please use the 'contact' button or the email link below if you would like to get in touch.
